The Tripartite Grassroots Membership Initiative (TGMI)

Keeping the ADA Strong

In 2001, the ADA began a bold business strategy—the Tripartite Grassroots Membership Initiative., a peer-to-peer outreach program that emphasizes personal relationships as the key to long-term membership satisfaction and success.

Since the inception of the campaign, the ADA has experienced tremendous success, adding 12,014 active licensed members in just seven years (as of end-of-year 2007).

Member volunteers across the U.S. act as ambassadors for the program, helping to recruit members. They also serve as contacts for members and nonmembers in their local area.

There are 47 states and more than 1,200 member volunteers who have committed to the campaign.

The program has made the ADA stronger—securing its credibility to affect positive change for the dental profession.

To learn more about the Tripartite Grassroots Membership Initiative, contact your local dental society or a member of the ADA staff from the list below.
