MEDLINE™/ Loansome Doc for Non Members

Non ADA member dentists, other dental professionals and patients who want to access articles on a particular condition or procedure can conduct their own literature searches using MEDLINE/PubMed. MEDLINE™ is the National Library of Medicine's searchable database of over 12 million citations from more than 4,600 medical, dental, health and scientific journals. MEDLINE contains citations and some abstracts of dental articles dating back to 1964.

Free MEDLINE Access: Literature searches of the MEDLINE database can be conducted and specific dental articles can be requested from your local library. Non ADA members may also sign up for online request services from another library through the National Library of Medicine's MEDLINE/Loansome Doc online ordering service.

The ADA Library does not accept Loansome Doc and other online requests from non ADA members. However, health professionals may request articles by mail or fax, subject to the Library's usual services fees.
